On Integrable Ermakov-Painleve IV Systems

Description
Novel hybrid Ermakov- Painleve IV systems are introduced and an associated Ermakov invariant is used in establishing their integrability. Backlund transformations are then employed to generate classes of exact solutions via the linked canonical Painleve IV equation. In a separate development, 3-body and 4- body systems recently set down in the literature are shown to be embedded in a wide class of non- autonomous multi- component Ermakov systems.
