Lorentz violations, causality, and black holes.

I will discuss some basic aspects of causality in theories that violate Lorentz symmetry. I will then focus on theories that have a preferred foliation that determines the causal structure and I will define the appropriate notion of black hole in such theories. Finally, I will explore some basic aspects of this new kind of black holes.
