Description

Scenarios of new physics predicting dark matter candidates are multiple, and simplified models have emerged as a unifying framework to systematically classify their signatures while remaining independent of specific UV-complete realizations. Within this approach, t-channel scenarios extend the Standard Model by introducing a dark matter particle and a mediator which connects it to visible sector, both transforming non-trivially under the same stabilizing symmetry. This simple structure leads to a remarkably rich phenomenological landscape, depending on which Standard Model particles are involved and on the spins of the dark sector states. In this seminar, I will present an overview of these models and discuss how the complementarity between collider and cosmological/astroparticle probes can provide a coherent strategy to test them at current and future experiments.
