Critical relaxation dynamics in discrete gauge systems

by Claudio Bonati

Description

Critical phenomena in statistical models characterized by gauge symmetries present a richer phenomenology than standard (i.e. non gauge invariant) statistical models. After introducing the main features of this phenomenology, and in particular a classification of the different types of critical behaviors that can be expected in gauge models, some recent results regarding the critical relaxation dynamics (the so called type A dynamic) of discrete gauge models will be discussed.
