Experimental Particle Physics journal club
The Experimental Particle Physics journal club is a monthly event in which a student or researcher working in particle physics presents a topic to the particle physics community of INFN, sez. di Genova and University of Genova. The presentation may focus on a scientific paper, a technical note, or provide an overview of a specific experiment.
The format of the journal club is designed to encourage broad participation and knowledge sharing across different groups. Each month, one group (or experiment) is selected to prepare a presentation for the following meeting. This can take the form of an overview of the experiment or a discussion of a recent paper or internal collaboration note.
The main goal is to offer insight into the topics and activities each group is working on, while keeping the discussion accessible and avoiding overly technical details. This creates an opportunity for participants to explore a wide range of research areas in an informal and engaging setting.
