Meeting room
The main meeting room is located in the Guest House Building of the LNS.
A view of the LNS complex is shown in the figure below.
The main gate, the parking where the bus will stop, the entrance of the main building and the access to the guest house building are indicated.
On the way from the parking to the main building you will see on your left some stairs with a sign indicating "Foresteria" and "Sala congressi". Take these stairs and follow the pathway (100 m) that leads to the guest house.
Bus transfers to LNS
A bus transfer will be organised for participants in the morning of december 5 and 6. The bus will wait in Piazza Stesicoro (west side of the square, in front of the church; see map below) and will leave at 9:00.
A transfer will also be organised on december 5 at the end of the meeting day from LNS to the city centre.
Please, indicate in the registration form if you wish to use this transfers. This informatiin will help us to better organise the service.
How to reach LNS Catania
LNS is located inside the Scientific Campus (named Città Universitaria or Cittadella).
A satellite view of the area (with the LNS buildings almost at the center, just below the football stadium) is available through Google Maps.
Additional info on Catania airport
Despite the closure of the airport runway at the Catania Fontanarossa airport from november 5 to december 5 2012 for construction works, flights to Catania will operate regurarly.
Although the flights will use the Sigonella air force base runway for take-off and landing, all the passenger operations (check-in, luggage delivery, etc...) will take place as usual at the Fontanarossa terminal. More detailed information is given on the Catania airport web page.
