Conference Venue
The International Workshop on Chiral Dynamics 2015 will take place at the Aula Magna di Scienze (Polo Fibonacci, Building E), located in Largo Bruno Pontecorvo 3, in Pisa downtown. The Aula Magna is part of the "Pontecorvo Area", a mini-campus of Pisa University which includes the Physics, Mathematical, and Computer Science Departments.
In this area, a dress factory was established at the beginning of the XIX century by Pellegrino Pontecorvo, grandfather of the the dinstinguished physicist Bruno Pontecorvo. The factory changed owner in the thirties and reconstructed, becoming one of most moderm dress factory at that time. Finally, in the seventies, the factory closed and was acquired by the University of Pisa, and reconverted to become a universitary mini-campus.
The Aula Magna is located in a building originally devoted to host the main power generators of the factory. Interesting is the presence in the building of one imponent steam power generator constructed in the thirties ("Caldaia Tosi").
