Invitation to join the International Conference “Light on the ArChitecture of lifE - LACE17” – Syracuse (Italy)
On behalf of the Organizing committee we are pleased to announce the upcoming International Conference “Light on the ArChitecture of lifE - LACE17”, an interdisciplinary approach to the role of the structures in the life and the use of light to investigate cells and tissues structures.
The conference will take place in the island of Ortigia, the lovely heart of Syracuse (Sicily, Italy), on September 11-15, 2017. The conference venue will be at the School of Architecture (University of Catania) that is located next to the Castle of Maniace, dating from the eleventh century.
The conference will focus on the new frontiers in Biophysics that explore the structure and dynamics of living matter, giving particular emphasis on the use of light as tool to investigate cellular processes and functions seen not as individual process and function but as collective and integrated mechanisms.
The main theme of the conference covers a wide range of critically important sessions:
· Spontaneous and photoinduced ultraweak photon emission
· Application of light in environmental and medical field
· Water structures and life
· New biophysical approaches to the understanding of cell functions
· Detectors for single photons applications
