The Excursion

Excursions program

We have organized two alternative excursions in the afternoon of Wednesday, May 25th. An English speaking guide will accompany the group during the whole excursion.

• Visit to the Mines of Ginevro (Miniera del Ginevro) and local food and wine tasting at Le Ripalte farm

Guided visit of the mine gallery (30 min walk) and presentation by the mining park personnel.
On the way back to the hotel, a stop is planned at the recently opened Le Ripalte farm, located on the wonderful Costa dei Gabbiani (Seagulls’ coast).

• Walking tour of Portoferraio 'on the footsteps of Napoleon' and local food and wine tasting at the bar of the prestigious fortress

Guided tour of the historical center and visit of the places which hosted Napoleon (Villa dei Mulini, Museo Napoleonico, Teatro dei Vigilanti) and at the end a tasting organized by Slow Food will be offered.
