How to reach Pisa

By Air

Pisa Airport "Galileo Galilei" is the main destination in Tuscany.
Served by several airlines that operate hundred of weekly flights to national and international destinations, the airport is developing as one of the busiest in Italy thanks also to numerous companies offering a low cost alternative.

The airport is just 5 minutes far from the centre of the town by bus, train or taxi, plus regular trains from and to Florence, Lucca, Viareggio, and other cities.

The bus runs every 10 minutes and operates every day from 6.00 a.m. to 24.00. p.m., including Sunday and Bank holidays. The journey time is just 8 minutes. By Train

By Car

Pisa is near the intersection of two highways: A12 north-south (Sestri Levante - Livorno) and A11 east-west (Pisa - Florence). Alternatives include the ss67 to Florence, and the ss1 (Via Aurelia) which connect Rome to La Spezia.
 
Transport in Pisa city centre

The bus service is operated by CPT (website in Italian, only) with LAMrossa line (red line) from the airport to the city centre and the Cathedral.
The city also offers efficient car parks served then by city shuttles to the main top sights.
