Travel Info

Milano has three airports: Linate (LIN), Malpensa (MXP) and Orio al Serio (BGY). The closest to the city center is Linate, Malpensa has all oversea connections and Orio al Serio mostly operate the low cost airlines. If you plan to take a Taxi from the airport, please wait at the official TAXI waiting lines (white cars with the TAXI signs on them) and don't follow the drivers approaching you at the exit gates, since they usually provide the same service at higher prices.

Transport from Linate

There is a public bus line from linate to the city center (approx 20') with the stop just out of the arrival area of the aiport. Bus line is number 73 and the X73 follows the same route for a direct connection to the center making only a couple of stops. More info at the site of the public transport company (see below).

Transport from Malpensa

Malpensa is connected to Milano either by Shuttle bus connection (50') to Milano Centrale (the main central station) or by train (30-40') to the train station Milano Cadorna.

Transport from Orio al Serio

Shuttle buses connect Orio to Milano Centrale.

Moving in Milano

It is not advisable to rent a car to move around in Milano, due to parking and city center access charges. The city transport company has an online travel planner with all information of routes and timeschedules.
