The hotel is set directly on the sea, a few kilometres both from the Bari downtown and from the Bari-Palese International Airport. Participants are expected to arrive on June 15th, 2014. Registration will start the afternoon of June 15th, and will continue on June 16th from 8:30.
An excursion will be organized in the afternoon of June 17th, followed by the social dinner.
Travelling information:
By plane: The workshop venue is at few kilometres from the Bari-Palese International Airport. For participants living in the hotel, a shuttle service will be organized by the Hotel Riva Del Sole.
By train: The Bari Centrale Railway Station is in the city centre. For the timetable see Trenitalia online. The distance to the Hotel Riva del Sole is about 25km. The best way to reach the Hotel is by taxi.
Accommodation:
Participants are kindly requested to book directly their rooms, sending to the Hotel a mail or a fax, mentioning the workshop QCD at Work 2014. The following rates have been agreed with Hotel Riva Del Sole:

To take advantage of these rates, which include beach and swimming pool services, the hotel booking has to be made as soon as possible, sending a mail or a fax to Hotel Riva del Sole. A credit card number is required. For cancellations later than June 1, the first night will be charged.
The deadline for booking is June 1st, after this date room availability is not guaranteed.

The Conference Center is in between the two small towns of Giovinazzo and Santo Spirito, 5 kilometres from Giovinazzo and 3 kilometers from Santo Spirito. Public transportation (bus line S.T.P.) is available (path Giovinazzo-S.Spirito-Palese-Bari), with a 30 minutes frequency in June, and stop on request at the Hotel Riva del Sole. The one way ticket fare Bari-Giovinazzo is 1.4 Euro (if the ticket is purchased on the bus, the fare is slightly increased). A weekly travel card Bari-Giovinazzo costs 11.61 Euro.
In the direction Giovinazzo-Bari, the first departure from Giovinazzo is at 5.30 am, the last one at 10.20 pm. In the direction Bari-Giovinazzo, the first departure from Santo Spirito is at 5.40 am, the last one at 10.45 pm. A list of coffee shops where to purchase the tickets in Bari, Santo Spirito and Giovinazzo will be provided at the conference.
