Venue
The conference will be held in Torino Esposizioni, Corso Massimo d'Azeglio 15. All the rooms will be available for the conference. The plenary sessions will take place in the Aula Gialla and the parallel ones in the Aula Gialla and the Aula Blu.
During the posters session of Tuesday afternoon a snack buffet will be offered to all the participants, the poster will be placed inside the spaces of Torino Esposizioni.
The lunch buffets will be served, from Monday to Thursday, in the same place.
The registration will open on Sunday, September 4th from 16.00 to 18.00 in the entrance room of the Physics Department (Via Pietro Giuria 1). On Monday, September 5th the registration will move to Torino Esposizioni and will open at 9.00.
The social dinner of the conference (included in the conference fee) will be offered in Circolo Canottieri Esperia, Corso Moncalieri 2. The distance from the conference venue to the restaurant is more or less 2,5 Km. A boat trip along the Po river will be offered by the organization from Castello del Valentino (500 m from the conference venue) to Murazzi del Po (850 m from the restaurant). Due to the capacity of the boat the participation will be limited to the first 100 registrants. The restaurant can be reached by public transports and a guided walk through the Valentino Park (on the Po river side) will be organized.
The cost of the social dinner for accompagning persons is 50 €
Travel Information
Torino is easily reached either by plane, train, bus, or car. All the details and updated informations on the transportation system, timetables, and fares can be found at Torino Turistica.
For those arriving by plane: the local airport is the Torino Caselle International Airport, located 16 km from the center of the city and connected to major european hubs. If you are arriving from overseas, you may consider Milano Malpensa Airport, or Milano Linate Airport, from which Torino can be reached by bus or train. Informations can be obtained through the links above.
To reach Torino from the Malpensa Airport, a bus connection is granted from the SADEM company. Alternatively, from Malpensa one can reach the Central Railways Station in Milano (Milano Centrale), from where direct trains to Torino are available from both Trenitalia and Italo services. The Central Railways Station in Milano is also easily reached from the Linate Airport with a bus that stops just at the entrance of the station.
