Travel Information

Meeting transportation

You can reach the Summer School venue in the following ways:

• By plane to Pisa airport (PSA), and then using the shuttle bus provided.
• By plane to Roma Leonardo da Vinci airport (FCO) and then by Leonardo Express train to Roma Termini railway station.
• By train to Piombino Marittima (about 1h30' from Pisa and 3h30' from Roma Termini), ferry-boat to Portoferraio (about 1h). A  shuttle will be available upon request to connect participants from the Portoferraio harbour to Hotel Hermitage.
• By car to Piombino, ferry-boat to Portoferraio, a short drive to La Biodola (10km).  

A free shuttle bus has been arranged that will connect the Conference site to Pisa Airport "Galileo Galilei". Below you find the schedule:

Wednesday, May 13^th: destination Hotel Hermitage

• from Pisa airport "G. Galilei" at 15:30
  The meeting point for participants is the area in front of the check-in desks, in the main hall of the airport (map).

There will be somebody of the Organizing Committee waiting for you at the meeting point about one hour before the meeting bus departure.

Sunday, May 17^th: origin Hotel Hermitage

• to Pisa airport "G. Galilei" at 6:30 (expected arrival at 10:30)
