General Information

The Training Course is organized in connection with and is preparatory to the International Conference on Nuclear Microprobe Technology and Applications (ICNMTA 2014) to be held in Padova (Italy) on July  7-11, 2014.

Directors: Valentino Rigato (INFN-LNL, Legnaro, Italy), Aliz Simon (IAEA, Vienna).

Language: The official language will be English.

Venue: The two days course consists of lectures and experimental sessions carried out at the nuclear microprobe line of the AN2000 Accelerator and at the Ion Electron Emission Microscope facility at the TANDEM-XTU accelerator of LNL.

Participation: The course is open to MSc, PhD students and early stage researchers (post-docs). Applicants should apply for participation on the link here below. Applicants are asked to upload their CV and support letter from the belonging institution or tutor.
The course is limited to 25 participants. Please note that applications are subject to evaluation and acceptance.

Deadline for Application: May 14, 2014.

Payment: The participation fee for regular attendees is 240€. The fee includes course attendance, lunches and coffee breaks.
Payment will be requested after acceptance of the application. Applicants will be contacted by the Organizing Secretariat.

IAEA assistance (deadline for application expired on April 7, 2014): Travel and subsistence expenses of the participants should be borne by their own institutions. Limited funds are available to participants from IAEA Member States eligible to receive assistance under the IAEA’s Technical Cooperation Programme. To apply for the IAEA support participants are asked to fill in the proper field in the application form specifying also details on any other financial resource contributing to the cost of participation. Participants who receive partial or total support from the organizers are required to attend the entire course.
