Description
Ore 11:00 - Marc Henneaux (ULB Brussels)
Title: Gravitational electric-magnetic duality
Abstract: Various aspects of gravitational electric-magnetic duality will be reviewed, including the manifestly duality invariant formulation of the linearized theory in 4 dimensions involving prepotentials, and its extension to higher dimensions where "twisted seld-duality" is the relevant concept. It will be argued that duality symmetry supercedes spacetime symmetry.

Ore 14:00 - Gianguido Dall'Agata (Padova U. and INFN, Padova)
Title: New maximal supergravities and their origin
Abstract: We recently discovered infinite families of maximal supergravity theories, vastly extending the landscape of 4-dimensional models. In this talk we describe these models and many of their interesting and unexpected features: the interconnected moduli space, the existence of de Sitter vacua satisfying slow-roll conditions and of new supersymmetry breaking patterns. We conclude by discussing their stringy origin.

Ore 15:30 - Kostas Skenderis (Southampton U.)
Title: Towards holography for asymptotically flat spacetimes
Abstract: In this talk I will present a correspondence between asymptotically AdS spacetimes and a class of Ricci-flat spacetimes. I will then use this correspondence to initiate the discussion of holography for asymptotically flat spacetimes.
