Description
The recent discovery of a Standard Model higgs boson like state at the LHC has serious implications on many of the microscopic models of particle physics. In this talk I will discuss the impact of the measured mass and signal strengths of the "higgs boson" on two very popular models of Supersymmetry. In this context, the relevance of a light stop quark and its search in the LHC will be mentioned. Direct searches of third generation squarks in the case of some simplified supersymmetric mass spectrums will also be discussed.
