The Pontecorvo100 Symposium is organized by INFN, Università di Pisa, Scuola Normale Superiore and JINR – DUBNA, to celebrate Bruno Pontecorvo on the centennial of his birth (Marina di Pisa, August 22, 1913).
The Symposium will be held at Pisa INFN and University, Largo Bruno Pontecorvo, 3, 56127 Pisa (Italy), Bldg C - 2ndfloor, Aula Gerace.
It is organized in plenary talks by invitation only: on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 18th we plan to have biographic presentations while 19th and 20th will be devoted to scientific presentations of outstanding international experts in order to have a complete overview of the status of the art in the different fields constituting the inheritance of Bruno's ideas:
Proceedings of plenary talks and posters will be published on a dedicated volume edited by the Italian Physical Society (SIF).
The registration fee will be 100,00 € per participant. This includes the lunches of the 19th and 20th, coffee breaks, the meeting material, the social dinner and the Symposium proceedings.
For accompanying persons the cost of the social dinner will be 50 €.
Students (PhD and MD)of any Italian University, upon showing their academic card, will be allowed to follow the Symposium (and the coffee breaks) without paying any fee. Should they wish to receive the Symposium proceedings they will have to pay a fee of 50 €. Other 50 € would be required in case they wished to have lunch at the Symposium and/or attend the social dinner.
