--------------------- IFR Fast Simulation --------------------- IFR response parameterized: - IFR do not need detailed information about the tracking inside the IFR itself. For the future development it could be useful to have the point/moments of the track before the IFR iron (output of the solenoid)? - parametrization using the DATA control sample; - all global effects on the tracking inside the IFR (effect of the EMC->IFR leackage are considered); - we are continuing to work within PravdaMC (still need to migrate to new code with PacTrk, next step). First attempt: sample of B->mumugamma events generated with PravdaMC: http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~rotondo/SIfrFastSim/file.eps number of "measured" interaction lenghts in the IFR (just one bin in the (p-theta) plane), parameterization available only for muons. To Do List: - improve the parameterizations of the most IFR relevant quantity using the BaBar PID ntuples (fine bin in p-theta); - modify PmcMicroAdapter.cc/hh where BtaIfrQual "persistent" quantity are stored; - create the list of muons with different selection criteria so analysis can use directly on the muonLists instead of ChargedTracks.
