Description
Aqueous suspension of laponite is a model soft glassy material and undergoes structural evolution with the ageing time. Increase in the concentration of salt is known to enhance attraction among the laponite particles that modifies the microstructure of the suspension significantly. Changes in the microstructure have profound effect on the time dependent rheological behavior of the system. In this talk we discuss how rheological tools can be employed to infer micro-structural information of soft solids of laponite.
