Description

The discovery of the Higgs boson at the LHC in 2012 completed the Standard Model, yet precision measurements of its couplings and the electroweak sector are essential to reveal physics beyond it. The Circular Electron-Positron Collider (CEPC), a proposed next-generation Higgs factory, is designed to operate at a centre-of-mass energy of 240 GeV with a peak luminosity of $10^34$ $cm^{-2}~s^{-1}$, producing millions of Higgs bosons over its operation.

The facility will also serve as a Z -boson factory and, in subsequent stages, explore higher energy frontiers. In this talk, I will present the baseline designs of the CEPC accelerator and reference detector—based on the Technical Design Reports published in 2023 and 2025, respectively —with particular emphasis on the machine–detector interface and integration challenges.
