Description
ABSTRACT

Measurements of hadronic jets in the first years of the LHC operations provided tests of the strong interactions, interesting both in their own right and as backgrounds to many standard model measurements and new physics searches. We present a review of selected ATLAS performances on jets and jet physics measurements, which includes measurements of inclusive jet, dijet, multijet cross sections, studies on heavy flavors jets, jet shape, jet mass and jet substructure. Examples of searches for new physics with final state jets are presented, focusing part of the discussion on how the systematic effects are treated.
