ABSTRACT

We shall review recent developments in aspects of jet physics important for new physics analyses at the LHC. In particular we shall focus on how a systematic and detailed understanding of jet properties can be usefully employed to optimise new physics searches and shall discuss the recent rapid development of jet substructure techniques to discover highly boosted massive new particles.
