DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Shahram Rahatlou (Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucle
are)\n\nWhat happens when the Large Hadron Collider is pushed far beyond i
ts original design? The High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider will deliver
an order of magnitude more data\, transforming both the scale and methodo
logy of particle physics. To meet this challenge\, the CMS and ATLAS collab
orations have developed new generations of detectors\, which are now being
constructed and prepared for installation. These systems are designed to
operate in extreme conditions\, with up to hundreds of simultaneous collis
 ions\, requiring advances in detector design\, real-time data processing\,
and reconstruction techniques. In this seminar\, I will explore how these
challenges translate into opportunities: precision studies of the Higgs bo
son\, stringent tests of the Standard Model\, and new strategies to uncove
r physics beyond it. Machine learning will play a central role\, enabling
more efficient data processing\, improved detector performance\, and enhan
ced sensitivity to rare signals. The HL-LHC will provide a rich environmen
t for students and researchers eager to contribute to the next generation
 of discoveries.\n\nhttps://agenda.infn.it/event/51795/
