 e talk: \n \nTitle: Dark Particles and Bright Bursts: Future Stories fro
 m the Gamma-Ray Sky with GALAXIS\n \nAbstract: The MeV gamma-ray sky rema
 ins the least explored window in the electromagnetic spectrum\, with no cu
 rrent or approved mission providing continuous all-sky coverage and precis
 e source localization in this band. I will discuss GALAXIS\, an idea that 
 developed into a full-scale collaboration to design\, build\, and launch a
  telescope designed to fill this gap. Originally motivated by the search f
 or QCD axions from core-collapse supernovae\, GALAXIS has evolved into a m
 ulti-purpose MeV observatory whose science cases include exciting opportun
 ities for both astrophysics and BSM physics\; these span gamma-ray burst l
 ocalization and spectroscopy\, multi-messenger counterpart searches\, and 
 powerful sensitivity to axions and decaying dark matter across largely unp
 robed parameter space. I will describe the path from particle physics moti
 vation to astrophysical observatory\, and the path forward toward realizin
 g GALAXIS as an instrument that will actually launch in the near future.\n
