DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Yi Yin (CUHK\, Shenzhen)\n\nAbstract: \nRecent meas
urements of the spin polarization of particles produced in nuclear collisi
ons have opened a new frontier in the study of strong-interaction matter u
nder extreme conditions. This development requires advancements in underst
anding the non-equilibrium evolution of spin distribution in a hot QCD-lik
e plasma. In this talk\, we present a novel formulation of spin kinetic th
eory based on the algebra of spin-dependent Poisson brackets and the actio
n principle. In the linear response regime\, we establish a precise relati
on between the kinetic and field-theory descriptions of spin distributions
. Furthermore\, we will discuss collisional effects within this framework\
, aiming to reveal the mechanism of angular momentum transfer between orbi
 tal angular momentum and spin.\n\nhttps://agenda.infn.it/event/50581/
