    • 2:00 PM 2:20 PM
Run5 status and next steps 20m
Speaker: Melba D'Astolfo (Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare)

      - Update on the Run5 analysis flow
      - On one side the a fast association based on graph-ML technique is under way
         - Goal is to have a fast association to: remove noise cluster from image and possibly be used for fast CYGNO04  daq
         - Training mostly made with single events images. Soon test to match more crowded images
         - Time expected for some update: begin February
      - On the other side try writing and unfolding technique and testing it on AmBe data Run3
      - Run5 cuts on data will wait for simulation data from Emanuele
      - Response matrix for the unfolding under development. To be trained on MC data
      - Binning of energy spectrum needs to be carefully thought. Similar to our resolution on neutron energy (10 keV?)
      - Slide on the full workflow with main steps could help understanding big bottlenecks

    • 2:20 PM 2:40 PM
      Boh peak and Rn 20m
Speaker: Davide Pinci (Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare)

      - Update on boh peak. They look like round things, from energy and position in z could be compatible with copper X-ray emission from GEM
      - We expect this signal from simulation and we could have them in CYGNO-04 from cathode and GEM
      - Simulation and digitisation underway
      - Rn work: Up to now we extracted the original estimated distribution of Rn and progenies
      - If this is true, beta decays of 214Bi and 214Po should be emitted from cathode. And how many?
      - Estimation of effective rate on low energy ongoing, but it looks they are indeed a large contribution at low energy

    • 2:40 PM 3:00 PM
      Data reduction: QUEST noise 20m
      Speaker: Igor Fonseca Pains

      - Update on the trigger selection data reduction
      - Study on quest noise. Big single pixel sparks are affecting the linear filters
      - Crazy pixels removed with laplace filter to smooth them on the image (found if it is higher than all neighbours)
      - Threshold to determine which spark to remove  checking the difference between raw image and median filtered one. Where the slope on different changes you have a change of population: sparks
      - Threshold defined as 50 ADC above pedestal
      - Effect on signal to be tested, but expected to be negligible
      - Time required for filter is 0.13 s on CPU

    • 3:00 PM 3:20 PM
      QUEST digitization 20m
      Speaker: Igor Fonseca Pains

      - Quest digitization
      - First step is to match the correct parameters for Quest low gain
      - Size of image done
      - To match the sc_integral the lowest intensity daily scan was used (worst case scenario)
      - Pietro's method used to adapt parameters
      - Changing A was not enough to cope with the data shape (change in absorption, GEM gain and beta saturation)
      - Size and nhits variables fail at low gain as in high gain as Pietro showed for AmBe
      - Looking at the redpix intensity distribution, data has pixel with very high intensity which digitisation does not have
      - Investigation required. Here there could be big issues
