Summary
The HERA DDIS data on the diffractive structure functions at the lowest x
and Q2 show a strong deviation from a twist-2 description, based on DGLAP
fits. This deviation grows rapidly with decreasing x and Q2, in
consistence with an emergence of a significant higher twist contributions
to diffractive proton structure functions. It is argued that the data
provide an evidence for higher twist contributions to DDIS at HERA.
