We are pleased to offer an engaging social programme for HPLA participants, where you will have the chance to connect with others over a Gala dinner and explore the city after the working session on 18 November.
There is no additional fee required for the social programme (Gala dinner and city tour) for registered participants — it is included in the registration fee.
Catania tour
On Tuesday, 18 November, at the conclusion of the scientific program, a dedicated bus will take participants who have expressed interest in joining the Catania city tour.
The bus will drop attendees at Piazza Stesicoro, where a professional local guide will lead a short walking tour through the historic city center, highlighting the most significant landmarks of Catania.
A limited number of places has been reserved for those who opted to attend the tour upon registration. There will be a shuttle from the event venue to the city centre — detailed information will be provided during the event.
At the end of the tour, participants will proceed directly to the Social Dinner venue, conveniently located within the old town district.
Gala Dinner
The Gala dinner on 18 November will be held at Palazzo Biscari, a monumental private palace still owned by the House of Paternò, located at Via Museo Biscari in Catania. A limited number of seats has been reserved for guests who selected the Gala dinner during registration. The dinner will start at 20:30.
There is no additional fee required for Gala dinner for registered participants — it is included in the registration fee. For accompanying persons (who have already informed us), a fee of €60 is payable directly at the restaurant.
