Description
We re-examine the problem of vacuum decay around spherically symmetric Black Holes. Using the thin wall approximation we study the problem in a geometry where the Black Hole is dynamically formed from gravitational collapse. We present a set of complex semiclassical solutions that interpolate between flat space containing collapsing matter and a Schwarzschild Black Hole surrounded by a bubble at arbitrarily late times. We compute the tunneling rate within exponential accuracy showing that the process is non-thermal and vacuum decay is not significantly catalyzed.
