Tips for accommodation
Each participant to the conference needs to find (and pay) his/her own accomodation. The month of June is very busy in Naples, so tickets and accomodations are expected to be less and less convenient as the conference approaches. Therefore we recommend to book fairly early. Due to the high demand, we have given up making deals with Hotels, because the latter could guarantee special prices for conference participants only for very short time lapses from now. However we give you some general indications and suggestions.
Naples offers a wide range of accommodations at different prices, in Hotels and in a lot of B&B's, especially in the ancient city center (which dates back to the Greek and Roman history). Most of them can be found through search & booking platforms, like booking.com, Hostelworld, etc. If for reimbursement purposes you need receipts from officially authorized B&B's, please keep in mind that this is not always checked by the platforms (this is so all over the world); better you ask in advance the B&B to show you a template of the receipt they could provide.
A few Hotels with positive reviews and very close to the venue are:
- Hotel Naples, Corso Umberto I 55, ****;
- Sanfelice 33 Luxury Suites, 33 Via Cardinale Guglielmo Sanfelice;
- Culture Hotel Centro Storico, Via Monteoliveto 15, ****;
- San Marco Hotel, Calata San Marco 26,***;
- Napolit'amo Hotel Medina, 24 Via Cardinale Guglielmo Sanfelice, ***.
Many more are quite close as well. Of course, you can also look for accomodations not so close to the venue, depending on your tastes and budget.
For those who prefer quieter and more scenic neighborhoods with panoramic views on the bay of Naples, Vomero, Lungomare, Chiaia, and Posillipo are excellent options. These areas are known for their charm and tranquility but are generally more expensive and accessible from the venue only via public transportation. If you choose to stay in one of these neighborhoods during the conference, we recommend carefully checking public transport options in advance. We point out that the stop "Università" of metro line 1 is very close to the venue.
If you’re looking for more affordable accommodation options, consider the following neighborhoods:
Quartieri Spagnoli, Piazza Bellini, Forcella, Montesanto, Quartiere Stella, Vergini.
These areas may be a little farther from the venue and can be noisy at night, but they often offer lower prices.
