Summary
This study investigates the feasibility of producing Ac-225 using a commercial boiling water reactor (BWR). Two production pathways for producing Ac-225 in a BWR were investigated. The required loading amount to achieve the global supply level of approximately 60 GBq of Ac-225 was estimated, implying that future domestic production in Japan could be achievable.
