The Instrumentation and Training for Nuclear Spectroscopy and Reaction Dynamics (InTraNS Task 2.5 - C5 of EURO-LABS) has taken the challenge of providing expertise for an optimal employment of the experimental setups for nuclear spectroscopy and nuclear reactions available in the Europe.
In the framework of these training activities, the INTRANS Scientific Committee proposes this Hands-on Training on Operation, Test and Repairs of Hyper Pure Ge Detectors 2024, addressed specially to physicists, technologists and technicians involved in operation, maintenance and repairing of any type of gamma HPGe detectors. The aim of this training is to exchange the knowledge already available in the community, summarizing problems and solutions for the different types of high resolution gamma ray Ge detectors, running today in Europe, i.e. from single tapered crystals to AGATA clusters. This exchange will help also to the consolidation of the community of experts on HPGe Detectors in Europe, as an additional goal for this Hands-on Training.
This training activity is a continuation of similar workshops organized in the framework of Nuspin, a network activity of ENSAR2, in 2018 at Cologne and in 2019 in Liverpool.
There is the possibility to book a room at the LNL guesthhouse, please check the availability.
Important information: to be able to access to LNL it is requested to register at the laboratory following the instructions you can find in this link: https://www.lnl.infn.it/en/access-to-lnl/
After the Hands-On Training on Operation, Test and Repairs of Hyper Pure Ge Detectors 2024, finished in Sept 7th 2024, we have launched the 1st phase for the creation of a HPGe Experts Community, as Spin-off of the Hands-On workshop. If you are interested, you can visit the INFN INDICO page
