Ischia Island (Naples, Italy)

Description

We announce the XIX Vulcano Workshop on Frontier Objects in Astrophysics and Particle Physics (FOAPP).

This year the workshop will be held at Hotel Continental Ischia, in the Ischia Island (Campania, Italy), from May 26th to June 1st, 2024.

The participation is by invitation, limited to 80 people, and exclusively in person.

As in the past editions, held in the Volcano Island (Sicily) and in 2022 in the Elba Island (Tuscany), the workshop will aim to gather people from High Energy Astrophysics and Particle Physics to discuss the most recent highlights in these fields.

The workshop will cover the following topics:

  • Astrophysics/Cosmology
  • Astrophysics/Gravity
  • Dark Matter & Dark Energy
  • Particle Physics
  • Cosmic Rays
  • Gamma/Neutrino Astronomy
  • Future Prospects

The scientific program will include 25-minute review talks to introduce the current problems giving new experimental and theoretical results.

Participants are expected to arrive at the Hotel Continental on Sunday May 26th. Registration will begin at 6:30 pm.

Departures are expected on Saturday June 1st.

Organized by Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN) and Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica (INAF)
