An insight into the wonderful world of polarization in ultrafast spectroscopy

The polarization of light indicates the direction of the electric field vector during the electromagnetic wave propagation and is connected to a variety of fascinating optical phenomena such as optical activity and exploited in many applications, including also sunglasses and display technologies. The enchanting processes related to polarization ranges from common experiences in everyday life to the ultrafast vibrational spectroscopy.
