Scientific Programme

The SNRI-VII course is structured in morning and afternoon sessions.

Morning sessions will be mainly devoted to seminars given by worldwide recognized detector experts (10 + 2 hours). They will be held in Torino, Sala convegni and Spazio Polifunzionale in Strada delle Cacce 91, INRIM.

• "Quantistic sensors for the exploration of the principal of quantum mechanics" Marco Genovese (2h)

• "Understanding performance of analog-to-digital converters for radiation detector systems" Gianni Mazza (1h)

• "SiPM for single photon detection" Pietro Antonioli (1h)

• "Inrim Laboratories Tour"

The visit to the "Atomic Clocks" and "Quantum Technologies" laboratories replaces 2 hours of face-to-face seminars.

Afternoon sessions will be devoted to practical tutorials (17 hours). “Hands-on” laboratory exercises will allow participants to test detectors and techniques.
