The dawn of the multi-messenger astronomy era unlocked the opportunity to explore the cosmos not only with photons, but also with ghostly messengers called neutrinos. Neutrinos play a crucial role in the evolution and death of massive stars, drive the creation of heavy elements, and open the window to the most extreme events occurring in our Universe. I will discuss recent developments in the understanding of the role of neutrinos in astrophysical sources and highlight some of the most exciting opportunities for looking at the cosmos through neutrino lenses.
