How to reach Paestum
The easiest way to reach Paestum (which is in the Salerno region) is to arrive in Naples, either Capodichino Airport or Central Train Station (Napoli Centrale).
For those arriving by long-distance high-speed trains, it may be convenient to change so to have a final destination in Capaccio-Roccaspide
Arriving by train to Capaccio/Paestum
The hotel is located about 3.5km from the nearest train station of Capaccio-Roccadaspide. An alternative is the train station of Paestum, which is 5.2km away. A shuttle from the station to the hotel will provided by the hotel upon request. Please, fill the required information in the registration form if you wish a pick up at the station.
There are regular trains ( a 1:10h trip, once or twice per hour until 20:25 or 21:16) from the main Naples station to both of these destinations on the days of Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th, they can be found on the Trenitalia site:

Arriving in Naples from Rome Airport Fiumicino or from Rome Central Station Termini
In case you flight to Rome Fiumicino airport, you can reach Naples or directly Salerno by train with one change in Roma Termini station:
- Fiumincino airport - Roma Termini (about 30')
- Roma Termini - Napoli Centrale (1:10', via high-speed train)
- Roma Termini - Salerno (1:30' or 2:00', via high-speed train)
Consider that reservation is mandatory on high-speed trains and special limitations apply on change of reservation, depending on the fare.
The high-speed Italian train system connects Naples up to Milan (4:15') and Turin (5:30') via Florence and Bologna. You may consult the timetables of Trenitalia or Italo for more details.
Arriving in Naples from Naples Airport Capodichino
Naples international airport is connected to the major European cities with direct flights and is about 20 minutes drive away from the central train station.
Direct flights to/from Geneva are operated by easyJet daily in spring and summer.
Airport bus in Naples
Direct buses from Naples airport to the station ("Alibus") leave about every 15 minutes. You can get off at the first stop (the bus makes only two stops, the first at the main train station, the second at the harbor). The Alibus ticket costs of €5 and is also valid on the metro and other city buses, if needed, within 90 minutes. You can buy the ticket on board.
Transportation from Naples (airport and central station) to Paestum conference site, by bus arranged by the workshop organization
Buses will be arranged by the workshop from Naples Capodichino airport and train station at arrival and departure. If you are flying to Rome, it is possible to take the train directly from the airport to Naples train station.
The schedule for the first bus is the following:
- Arrival: Tuesday 10 October at 18:00 (E.T.A. in Paestum: 19:30).
- Departure: Friday 13 October at the end of the workshop.
Further timeslots will be considered depending on the demand - please fill in your predicted time of arrival if already known.
You will be given the option to take one of these buses at time of registration or to travel independently. A supplement of 19 euros per trip (so 38 if taken upon arrival and departure) will be charged upon arrival to people subscribing to the bus service.
Please note that after the end of the workshop the trip to Naples will take 1:30 to 2:00 hours, so take care to plan either your flight or your stay accordingly.

To reserve you can access the Bus Service Registration page that will be avialable until September 13th. You can book this also after you have registered for the conference, whenever your travel plan is known to you - but still within the early registration time.
Public Transportation from Naples and Salerno to Paestum
Regional trains connect Napoli Centrale station and Salerno station to Capaccio-Roccadaspide. Timetable can be found on the Trenitalia website.
