The primary goal for MDDMv is to facilitate studies towards realizing the scientific potential of mineral detectors. The required studies can be divided into two broad (interconnected) categories: modeling the geological history of potential sample target minerals and establishing the efficacy of different techniques to read-out damage tracks from nuclear recoils.
