Description
In this talk I will discuss the optimal rates that
are achievable in quantum communications, from point-to-point
links to repeater chains and arbitrary network topologies.
I will present the performances in the presence of both
wired and free-space wireless connections, including the
use of satellites as potential short-cuts for global quantum networks.
