The Venue
The "Theories of Fundamental Interactions" (TFI 22) workshop will be held in Venice at "Palazzo Franchetti", the “Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti” second premise, one of the most noteworthy buildings in Venice.
Palazzo Franchetti is located in Campo S. Stefano, in the very heart of the city. The site and complexity of its spaces, its noble architecture and its garden overlooking the Grand Canal make it a modern Conference Center with all the necessary services.

By Sea: public water boat
The airport is about 13 Km from Venice. A water bus transport service is available from the airport dock, connecting to Venice and the main Venetian islands. The water bus transport service is provided by Alilaguna.
Once at the airport, follow the light blue wayfinding for "Water Transport" and reach the 1st floor of the Terminal. Here you'll find the Moving Walkway, an elevated pedestrian path with moving carpets, that will lead you to the dock.
There you take a "Lancione" to "Calle Vallaresso" (near Piazza San Marco) which is at a walking distance from the "Istituto Veneto".
The trip lasts about 1 hour. The Lancione connects with almost all flights. The ticket costs about € 13,00 and can be purchased at the Alilaguna office (opening hours: from 8 am to 11.30 pm).
Private Water Boat (cost: ~ 80,00-100,00)
You can also take a private water taxi from the airport directly to Palazzo Franchetti-Istituto Veneto (available a private dock).

By BUS
From the airport you can also take:
- the public Bus to Piazzale Roma

From the Central Rail Station
By public boat (Vaporetto)
Once in Piazzale Roma (Venezia Rail Station) you can reach the workshop venue by public boats (Vaporetto): ACTV Line 1 or Line 2 (faster) to "Accademia" stop.

Once off the vaporetto, you have to cross the "Ponte dell'Accademia" and on your right you will find “Palazzo Franchetti”.
Ticket € 7,50 can be bought right in "Piazzale Roma", outside the Rail Station.
A private water taxi from the Railway Station to Palazzo Franchetti is also possible: it costs about € 80,00-100,00.
By walk
