Quantum supremacy: status and perspectives

We will review the recent advances achieved by Google team for the first demonstration of “quantum supremacy”, namely the regime in which a quantum system is able to outperform any classical hardware for a given computational  ask, even if not solving yet any useful problem. We will discuss the worldwide status and the perspectives of this research domain.
