2019-10-04 - Report to Darkside Materials Meeting Proposed guidelines for comparison samples - Comparison samples shall be measured as blindly as possible, including by the maker of the sample. For the SNOLAB samples, the activities will be kept by a group member not driectly in low-background counting. - The sample activity and other details will be sent to a member of the darkside materials group who will collect the answers for the collaboration from all the counting labs. - Once a lab has produced counting results, they will be given the sample information. If a lab wishes to use measure the sample on several instruments, the lab is asked to submit results after the count on the first instrument is analyzed. - "Las Vegas rule" These results are private to Darkside, and to the extent possible the Materials group. They are never published by darkside. - Should a lab wish to show this verification in talks or in a publication, they may do so with an acknowledgement that the samples were prepared by lab X for the Darkside Materials group.
