After a brief introduction to the notion of epsilon expansion I will explain how to promote the standard RG in dimensional regularization to the functional level. The emphasis here will be on theories with multiple scalars. These methods will then be applied to multi-scalar models with upper critical dimension greater than three. I will finally explain how in these models a particular choice of coupling basis will prove helpful in exploring the theory space and allows us to find all existing fixed points in the epsilon expansion, including several previously unknown fixed points, in models with two and three flavours.
