We regret to inform you that, due to the unforeseen circumstances related to the COVID-19 diffusion in the world and in Italy, which make any further development unpredictable by the day, the GGI PhD School on Theoretical Aspects of Astroparticle Physics, Cosmology and Gravitation (planned during 9-20 March 2020) will not take place. We hope to resume it at a later date (to be decided in due time).

This decision is taken in the primary interest of safety for all of you, also according to current health policies that disfavor gathering of people. We apologize for any incovenience this may cause.

For those supported by GGI, the Hotel reservations will be canceled directly by us, at no cost for you. If you need further clarifications, please contact us at this email address.
We look forward to meeting you in more favorable circumstances.

Sincerely Yours,
The School Organizers (as listed below)

The GGI Director, Stefania de Curtis (INFN Firenze and U. Firenze)

--------------------

The School aims at providing robust and detailed introductions on the basic theoretical concepts and main tools to work in the field of Astroparticle Physics, Cosmology and Gravitation. Gravitational waves of astrophysical and cosmological origin, neutrino physics and astronomy, dark matter and dark energy, galactic and extra-galactic cosmic rays and gamma-rays will be some among the main topics, and will be alternated along the years. The courses are organised as lectures at the blackboard in the morning and are integrated with hands-on and discussion sessions with an instructor in the afternoon. The School will profit of the Galileo Galilei Institute facilities. Each student will have office space to study and discuss, with a lot of opportunities to interact with lecturers. Accommodation in shared apartments will be provided at the cost of about 300 Euros for the whole period. Scholarships to cover this expense are available upon request. Lunch will be provided during the weekdays on the GGI premises for students and lecturers, at no cost. All the dinners and the lunches during the weekends, instead, are to be covered by the participants.
