Description
The Virgo and the LIGO collaboration have recently released the first Gravitational-Wave Transient Catalog GWTC-1 of compact binary mergers observed during the observing runs O1 and O2. The GWTC-1 includes ten stellar-mass binary black hole mergers and one merger of neutron stars: seven of these events have been reported before while four of the BBH mergers are new. I will give an outlook of the main physics results obtained in the first and second observation runs, outlining also the contribution of the Padova-Trento group. I will present the prospects of the next observing run foreseen to start in April 2019 and to last one year.
