Description
Careri Memorial Lecture
The computational and plastic properties of brain tissue have greatly stimulated attempts to create biohybrid/biomimetic devices in which brain tissue is interfaced with electronic chips or to generate optoneural interfaces in which neuronal activity can be modulated by light. These fields open new avenues both in the understanding of brain functions and in neuroprosthetics.
