MediNet task 2 Discussion Seminar
The discussion seminar of MediNet-Task 2 focuses on the specification of radiation quality in the framework of radiation therapy with proton and in carbon-ion.
Detectors and computational tools (available and under development) will be presented discussing if and how the more accurate and detailed description of the complexity of the radiation could supporting treatment.
Also benefiting of the advice of ion-beam therapy specialists, the dialogue will be multidisciplinary, aiming to mutual understanding.
The expected impact of the seminar is to assess the feasibility and delineate a roadmap for the development of detectors and Monte Carlo simulation for the regular use in clinics.
