Description
Galaxy is not an island universe isolated in empty space.
Intergalactic space is filled with materials, at least, with dark
matter and dust, as we could probe (hydrogen is more difficult to
probe), thus significant interplay exists between galaxies and the
circumgalactic environment. Typical entity that we can use to probe
circumgalactic/intergalactic space is quasar-absorption-line
systems. I address about the nature and problems with these
systems, as I probed with our circumgalactic studies.
