In July 2018 the Planck collaboration started their final release of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) anisotropies data in temperature and polarization.
We present its implications for cosmological parameters and inflation, discussing the stability of the main scientific results across the releases and the consistency of Planck data with complementary cosmological and astrophysical data sets.
